What If I Forgot to Refer My Friend?

New customers have several opportunities during signup to provide the Referral ID. This must be done before completing the deposit step. Unfortunately, once the deposit step is completed, it is no longer possible to add the Referral ID retroactively.

Additional Notes

  • You cannot refer yourself. Please do not use your own Referral ID unless you are opening an additional ETC card account. 
  • Mutual referrals (e.g., you and your friend referring each other) are not allowed. Only one person can receive the referral credit.
  • Referrals must be for new customers who are not already in the program.

  • If a referred customer's ETC card has been canceled, the referral credit will not be applied immediately. Please ensure that referrals are for individuals actively participating in the program.

    However, we will honor and retain the referral credit on the canceled customer's account balance. Should the customer reactivate their participation in the program, the credit will be applied to their ETC usage at that time.

How to Know a Customer Was Referred by You

Once the referred customer joins and stays active in the program for 90 days, they become eligible for the referral credit. The eligibility date is displayed on the referral dashboard so you and your friend know when to expect the credit. Once eligible, ¥1000 ETC credit will automatically be applied to your next ETC usage invoice.
