1. What is the reward for referring someone? You will receive a ¥1,000 ETC credit once your referral is confirmed and active for 90 days.
2. How can the referred person enter my Referral ID? During signup, the new customer can enter your ID in the MY DASHBOARD.
3. Can I refer myself? No. Self-referrals are not allowed unless opening an additional ETC card account. Learn more.
4. Can two people refer each other? No. Only one party is eligible for the referral credit. It will be awarded to the customer who joined first.
5. What if the referred customer cancels early? If the account is canceled within 90 days, the credit is forfeited or reversed.
6. When will I receive my credit? The credit will be applied after your referral completes 90 days of active participation.
7. What if my friend forgets to enter the Referral ID? The Referral ID must be entered prior to completing the deposit step. It cannot be added afterward.
8. How can I monitor my referrals? Log in to your MY DASHBOARD to view referral status and eligibility timelines.
9. Can I transfer my credit to someone else? No. Referral credits are account-specific and nontransferable.
10. Does the referral credit have cash value? No. It can only be applied toward ETC usage invoices.
11. What happens if the person I refer does not sign up? You will only receive credit for successful registrations using your Referral ID.
12. Is there a referral limit? No. There is no cap on how many friends you can refer.
13. How long will this program last? The referral program is ongoing but may change. Please check the website regularly for updates.
14. Can I refer someone who lives outside Japan? No. Referrals are only valid for customers eligible to join JapanETCcard.
15. Can I use the credit right away? Credits are applied automatically after the referred member completes 90 days of activity.
