How do I deactivate my current equipment in the car I'm selling? Once I purchase a new car, and have the new equipment activated, will my current ETC card work?

It is not required that you deactivate the ETC equipment in your vehicle that you are selling. If you plan on getting a new vehicle you can remove the unit that is in your current vehicle and have it installed in your new vehicle and if you do this you will just have to upload or email us the Shaken and the New ETC documentation you will receive for the new install. Then we will have everything verified and you will be able to continue to use your current ETC card. If you decide to get a new vehicle and a new ETC unit you will also have to upload or email us the updated Shaken and ETC unit documentation and we will verify the paperwork and you will also still be able to use your current ETC card. One process is just cheaper than the other.
